Happy new year! Things have been going as well as expected since my last update. My bloodwork is consistently good, my PICC line was removed a few weeks ago as it was not being used for any infusions and I graduated from the outpatient center to seeing my doctor in her clinic - today was my first clinic appointment. 
 
I was hoping that we would be finalizing my return date today, as I have told many friends, but unfortunately I’ve encountered a little hiccup which will delay that a bit. A routine chest xray today showed images consistent with pneumonia that were not there on my last chest xray in December. Despite the doctor not hearing anything and me feeling perfectly fine we have to take this rather seriously and can’t set a return date until it’s figured out. I got a nasal viral swab just now and will have a CT scan tomorrow morning. Hoping for better news in the coming days!

Don't get discouraged Rebecca! I know you want to go home and all of these tests seem like "one thing after another" but you're on the right path and you're moving forward. "If you can't fly, then run. If you can't run, then walk. If you can't walk, then crawl, but whatever you do, you have to keep moving forward". You may not be where you want to be but you've accomplished a lot...give yourself credit! And grace.
