Today we had a VERY special guest come meet the kids… JJ WATT!!! Like… WHAT?! 🥹🏈❤️

On Monday, I received an email saying that JJ’s mom had read our story and that JJ would love to come meet the kids. Naturally, I thought it was a scam or an impersonator because… how in the world would JJ Watt be emailing me?! 😂

But let me tell you… this guy. 🥹

JJ is every bit as kind, genuine, and humble as you could hope someone to be. He drove all the way to our house, sat down with us, and spent nearly an hour just talking, laughing, and letting us pick his brain.

Hudson and Hannah had about a million questions. 😂 They wanted to know about all the celebrities he’s met, his favorite foods, places he’s traveled, football stories… you name it! And JJ was so patient and interested in every question they asked.

He also took the time to ask them questions and genuinely listen as we shared their journey with him. ❤️

Of course, the kids had to show him their little service dogs, Louie and Rosie. And apparently, the dogs were pretty impressed with JJ too! 😂 Although Louie stayed very protective of his people, as always. 🐾

There was so much smiling and laughing while he was here. It was one of those moments where you look around and think, “Is this really happening?”

For two kids who have been through more than most adults ever will, getting to simply sit, laugh, ask questions, and have an unforgettable afternoon with someone they look up to was incredibly special.

JJ, thank you for taking the time to come meet our kids and for treating them like they were the most important people in the room. You didn’t have to do that, but you did — and we will never forget it. ❤️

And a very special thank you to JJ’s mom for taking the time to read our story and for reaching out to him. That one email turned into a memory our family will carry forever.

Today wasn’t about football. It was about kindness, connection, and showing our kids that sometimes the people you look up to can be just as incredible on the inside as they are on the field.

What an unforgettable day. 🥹❤️🏈

What a wonderful blessing! Their experience is something we are so grateful that our children have not had to go through, but it's been painful to watch Hanna and Hudson because they are both such wonderfully kind, sweet and thoughtful children. Praying for you and all of your family as well as the doctors and nurses taking care of them.

Oh my gosh!!!!! 🥹😍🥹😍 Go God!!!!!! This makes my heart sing! I smiled/laughed when you wrote: “It was one of those moments where you go: Is this really happening?” 🤣 I can only imagine!!!! One minute you’re making lunch, and then the next minute the NFL is in your living room. Like.. 😍 So happy for Hudson, and so happy for your momma heart 🥹🥹🥹.
