October 14th, Hannah will have her 2-year heart cath to check her miracle heart and make sure there are no signs of rejection. Please pray with us for beautiful results, continued good health, and for Dr. Eillers and her incredible team as they care for our girl and perform her procedure. 🤍

Two years. How is it even possible?

It’s hard to describe because somehow it feels like yesterday and like a lifetime ago all at the same time.

I can still vividly remember those 9 months of living inside hospital walls. The nurses and staff who became family. The countless prayers, the waiting, the fear, the hope. I remember watching our girl go into surgery and seeing her beautiful pink face for the first time afterward, surrounded by machines and tubes, with her new heart beating inside her.

I remember the first time she got up and walked the halls with her new heart. I remember every little milestone, every tear, every prayer, every moment that felt impossible until suddenly it wasn’t.

And now, two years later, watching her thrive and experience this beautiful new life she has been given has been one of the most humbling and inspiring things I will ever witness.

She is brave. She is strong. She is kind. And she is wise far beyond her years. She has taught me so much about faith, strength, gratitude and what it truly means to keep going.

And through all of this, we will forever carry so much love and gratitude for Hannah’s precious donor and their family. There are no words big enough to express what their unimaginable gift has meant to our family. Because of their decision during an unimaginable time, Hannah was given the gift of more time. More birthdays. More laughter. More gymnastics. More school days. More memories. More LIFE.

We will never stop praying for and loving the family who made the ultimate gift possible. Their precious child will forever be a part of Hannah’s story, and we will carry that gratitude in our hearts for the rest of our lives. 🤍

And if you could say an extra prayer for me, I would really appreciate it. This will be my first time walking into one of these big appointments without Allen or my dad by my side. After everything we have been through, I know I can do it, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t scary. There is something about walking into that hospital alone with your child that feels really heavy. So please pray for strength and peace for me, too.

And please pray for Hudson. Monday night he fell and broke his wrist. Thankfully, it’s a buckle fracture, so he only has to wear a brace for 4–6 weeks, but he has been having quite a bit of pain. Because apparently we didn’t have enough going on already. ❤️‍🩹

So on October 14th, we will walk back into the hospital with grateful hearts, trusting God with the heart He so miraculously gave our girl.

Please pray for Hannah. Pray for her beautiful heart. Pray for her doctors and nurses. Pray for her precious donor family. Pray for Hudson’s healing. And please pray for me as I navigate this next chapter and walk through this appointment on my own.

Most of all, please pray that we get to hear those words we never take for granted:

Her heart looks beautiful. No rejection. Everything looks good.

Two years of our miracle. And we are so incredibly grateful. 🫀✨
