Update on Kendra

This has been an incredibly challenging week as Kendra is being weaned off certain medications in preparation for admission to the hospital in Omaha. Last night was especially difficult. She experienced one seizure that lasted nearly three hours, along with at least one seizure every hour throughout the night.

But there is some good news in this picture taken this morning. This is a smile her family hasn’t seen in several days.

There are very few people who could endure what Kendra is going through and still find a reason to smile. Her strength continues to amaze everyone around her. Thankfully, the medication replacing what she is being weaned from appears to be providing some relief.

Her family is saddened that today was not the day they were able to transport Kendra to Omaha. Insurance delays, along with the need to safely wean her from certain medications, have set the timeline back. They are now hopeful that transport to Omaha will happen on Monday.

Please continue to keep Kendra and her family in your prayers. Their prayer today is comfort for Kendra as they wait for the transport on Monday. They remain faithful that God is with her in every step of this journey.

So incredibly hard! She is a fighter and she is amazing! Praying for Kendra and her family- very difficult to not be able to provide relief for her and all you can do is pray and just be by her side. But that’s what she needs -dear Lord, please restore Kendra’s health!! 🙏🙏
