This weekend has brought both challenges and blessings, and through it all, we continue to find reasons to be thankful.
Kendra had a couple of very special visitors this weekend (you know who you are) and we are so grateful you took time out of your lives to spend time with her. Those moments mean more than anyone will ever know.
We are also thankful that the antibiotics appear to be working. We hope to learn more this week about her progress and the next steps toward clearing the infections from her body.
The seizures have continued throughout the weekend, and some have been incredibly difficult on her body. Even so, Kendra continues to persevere through every one of them. As you can see from the smile on her face, she has a never-give-up attitude. She is fighting a battle most of us cannot begin to understand, yet she continues to find the strength to smile.
Kendra is surrounded by an incredible medical team working tirelessly to understand what is happening inside her body and find the answers she so desperately needs. We are grateful for their dedication and for everyone who continues to stand beside her.
As a family, we also want to recognize some very special people: To all of Joni’s clients…Thank You! After nearly 45 years in the salon business, she has been blessed with the greatest clients anyone could ask for. The grace, patience, understanding, and love you have shown during this difficult season have meant the world to our family.
Because of your support, Joni has been able to spend days, weeks, and even months at a time by Kendra’s side, helping her through some of the most difficult days of her life. There is nowhere a mother would rather, or should be, than beside her daughter. We will never forget the kindness you have shown her.
To everyone who continues to send messages, pray, encourage, support Kendra financially, and walk alongside our family, please know how deeply grateful we are. When this journey feels overwhelming, your love and support help carry us through.
We continue to trust God, believe in the medical team He has placed in Kendra’s life, and hold on to hope for better days ahead.
