Good morning Kendra's prayer warriors!!
Here is today’s update from Kendra's mom Joni...
We’re incredibly grateful for the steady improvements Kendra continues to make, and even today we saw some encouraging steps forward. That said, today also brought a few challenges.
We learned that Kendra experienced a seizure during yesterday’s MRI. The medical team was able to capture the entire event on video, which allowed them to confirm with 100% certainty that it was not an epileptic seizure.
We also received more clarity on the infections she’s fighting. While all are significant, the most serious is a bacterial infection related to the ventilator tube, involving her trachea and the pneumonia that has subsequently developed. The doctors advised us that it is a serious and significant infection with potentially life-altering risks if not controlled quickly, so this remains a top priority.
Lastly, the doctors are reassessing several of her medications. There is concern that some of them may be counteracting one another or complicating her current conditions. The team is working carefully to establish the safest and most effective treatment protocol moving forward.
We continue to give God thanks every day and have the utmost confidence that He opened the door for Kendra to receive treatment at this medical center and that He is involved in every decision being made.
Psalm 68:19 ESV
"Blessed be the Lord, who daily bears us up; God is our salvation."
