10.17.26 Update on Kendra

Our days here at CHI Health Immanuel in Omaha have been filled with ups and downs. While Kendra continues to battle seizures, we are thankful that their duration has shortened. We consider every bit of progress, no matter how small, a blessing.

Unfortunately, Kendra is also fighting a couple of infections, and the antibiotics have taken a toll on her body. The nausea has been significant, at times causing her to vomit even during a seizure. Although this has been difficult to watch, she knows she has to battle through it to get the infection out of her body. She has been a champion. 

Through it all, we remain hopeful, faithful, and determined. The team of doctors and nurses caring for Kendra have been nothing short of amazing. Their compassion, dedication, and willingness to explore every possible avenue to find answers have given us renewed hope. We are incredibly grateful that they are not giving up on finding the root cause of what Kendra is experiencing.

There are days when we struggle to understand why this journey has been so difficult. But even in our hardest moments, we know that God has not left our side. He continues to place the right people in our path, open doors, and remind us that we are not walking this road alone.

We continue to ask for prayers. Prayers for healing, for answers, for strength, and for the incredible medical team working tirelessly on Kendra’s behalf.
