The Manning Family
The inevitable happened and Willow felt the big effects of chemo. Head aches, body aches, stomach pain, mucositis, exhaustion, and the list continues. We thought things were on the mend when little sister got sick and the next day so did the rest of the family. Willow spiked a fever and spent the afternoon in the ER and the next day at clinic. By the grace of God she was able to stay home and rest her body as needed. She had a fun event (more details to follow) but unfortunately she was not feeling her best. She's been off chemo for 2 weeks is eating and playing, it's nice to see our girl getting back to herself. Now for the real update, the move to Orlando. In one week she will have labs checked and we will hopefully check into Ronald McDonald House. The next day she will have a procedure and start the second phase of this cycle. A chemo she has had before and we know her body is strongly effected by it. 4x a week she will have an infusion, daily she will have a chemo pill and her usual meds. The Florida crew (mom, dad, mamaw and papaw) will take rotating stays with willow to make the month easier on all. Say a prayer for willow extra this week. We are all dreading cytarabine.
