Willow is 2 weeks into her last cycle of Frontline chemo. 2 months of multiple different chemos. What should have been an easy time has not been. High fevers, low counts and no energy to be a kid. She has been in and out the ER for a fever that wouldn't go away. They finally admitted her and gave her many bags of fluids and antibiotics and she is doing better. She's currently on a chemo hold because her counts just cant recover from week 2 chemo. This cycle has titrating low dose methotrexate. This shouldn't be that big of a deal but willows body has already told it doesn't like it. This chemo has already given willow seizures and toxicity back 10/25. We normally give her a medication to help her body clear it and avoid this, but this round we want it to stay in her system. Unfortunately that means the side effects are harsh. We are doing our best to keep her as comfortable and happy as we can. The little siblings snuck away with mom and Mamaw to the Midwest to see family. The vacation was nice and needed but we are all ready to be back together. Thank you all for the love and support. Our girl is almost threw the worst of treatment and soon we can look forward to her bright and amazing future.
