The Manning Family
Our poor sweet girl has not been having a great time, she's not even been having a good time. Her body time and time again tells us how much methotrexate effects her. Her Dr. is starting to think she actually has a metabolite issue. This would explain the strange reactions she continues to have. She should be nearing the end of frontile but instead she's been on chemo hold. She has needed multi bags of platelets and a whole blood transfusion. Her body is pale and bruised. With the smallest touch she is left with deep bruises. This tells us her bone marrow is being suppressed more than it should be. She's tired, weak, emotional and pale, the grey color of her skin at times is alarming. Though through it all she smiles, giggles, plays! Oh does she play, even if only for short amounts of times she tries to be a kid. She's fighting as hard as she can and we are here with her. Keep Willow in your prayers as treatment plans are adjusted and extra testing is being done, to be sure that her body isn't trying to tell us more is happening that we don't want.Β
