The Linn Family
This week has tested the strength of Lindsey, Jeff and Hollis beyond all measures. They have sat patiently by, waiting for good news, in hopes that the new liver would recover and Hollis would move toward recovery. Sadly, that was not the case. The new liver was failing, and time became too precious to spare another moment.
At only 6 months postpartum, Lindsey was finally able to be considered as a viable donor. Yesterday she went through the full gamut of testing in hopes to be a match, as the fastest way for Hollis to get a new liver. They received the news last night that Lindsey was a match, and she said that she finally felt a sense of relief that she could do something to help.
This morning, Lindsey, in her bravest, fiercest, most selfless act as a mother yet, will donate a piece of her liver to save Hollis. It will no doubt be a long day of back to back surgeries for both of them, and they need all the prayers, love, and positive healing energy to make this miracle happen for all of them.
Please share this story, spread the word, and for those of you that have the ability, please donate to help ease the struggle of their extended recoveries.
