9/17/2026 Update:
Just look at that smile! Bryan transferred from acute care to the Sticht Center inpatient rehabilitation program at Wake Forest Baptist on Monday and is thriving! He has been receiving tremendous support by his wonderful team of therapists who are working him hard. They have reported him to be doing impressive work early on for his type of spinal cord injury. Today he pushed himself in the wheelchair 1040 feet in only 6 minutes! We remain encouraged by his strength and optimism and look forward to watching him conquer many more goals ahead!
Ellie will get to join him again tomorrow after school and then spend all of Saturday with him. We know she will be excited to see all the amazing tools for recovery the Sticht center has to offer, pool table and car included!
In other positive news, we are fortunate to be moving forward with construction plans for their bathroom remodel, with initial demolition set to start this weekend. Things are coming together! But, not without you all. Your support means everything to us. And we truly could not be doing this without you.
We continue to thank you for your unending support, tremendous love and ceaseless prayers.
