Brooklyn Hayward's Leukemia Fight
It’s been quite the last week.
Brooklyn has been very sick with nausea, vomiting, and all-over body pain. She has also been dealing with some severe mental and emotional struggles, which has been incredibly difficult to watch.
We ended up stopping one of her anti-nausea medications because her doctors thought it could be contributing to or amplifying some of the mental health symptoms. Thankfully, she has been doing mostly better over the last day since stopping it. She was also able to meet with the psychologist during her appointment today.
Unfortunately, she was unable to receive her scheduled chemo/immunotherapy today because she didn’t meet the treatment counts as her liver numbers have increased quite a bit since last week. Hopefully, she will be able to receive treatment next week.
This journey continues to be full of unexpected bumps, but Brooklyn keeps fighting. Please continue to keep her in your thoughts and prayers.
