The Gurbal Fam
It’s extremely disheartening to watch your baby decline physically- to the point we got to yesterday where he didn’t even respond to a IV being inserted or rectal temps; to watch their personality disappear and to be left with a physically body that, in a way, doesn’t even seem like your kid. The silly quirks, smiles, and subtle cues I’ve come to adore- gone in just hours. We’ve gotten to this point many times, but thankfully, each time, the Lord has carried us through to the other side.
Today is a new day and we are so thankful for progress. John has gotten LOTS of meds to help his body recover and we have gotten our spunk back! 🥰🤩
He is down to 8Liters of oxygen (from 15) and looks very comfortable. He enjoyed playtime (per usual) and I absolutely blew his mind when I turned him where he could see the hallway. (See last photo). Who knew there were other people in the building besides mom?! (All of which stop to tell me hi and that I’m cute) 😂
I am constantly in awe of his resiliency and ability to fight back. So thankful for his little body fighting so many battles and especially thankful for God’s goodness and modern medicine.
