Prayers for Kiala - August 27th Update

Kiala, First of all, you are in my prayers every minute. I know where you are because I have gone through this. You are doing the right thing by taking the time you need and doing what you know Damon would want. I am thankful you have friends who are supporting you so well. God has put the people you need in your life right now. I am thankful you have your Mother with you. Allow them to take care of you. You and Damon have so many people you have touched who love you. Know that God loves you and will take care of you. I love you and will continue to pray for you. Jennifer Hurd

Dearest Kiala, There is only one word for grief and that is love. You love Damon, that will never change. He loves you too and he will never truly leave you. A love like the one you two share will never cease to exist. 🥰 Next steps: No one prepares us for loss, there are no guidebooks, so forgive me for being in-delicate. You are going through enough, don’t let the medical bills destroy you. They ( medical practitioners and facilities) have leeway, ask for it. Write letters to the individual doctors and ask if they will reduce or wave their fees. You may have to fill out some forms. People want to help, give this task to a friend or family member, and let them call for you. We did this for every single patient that asked us to and we forgave 100%. You can ask the hospital too, if billing says no, ask for social services to help you navigate this. Please take care of yourself. You have put everything into walking Damon home. Let him guide you spiritually through the next steps. You make a good team and I know you both will continue to support one another through eternity, because as I said before… a love like yours never dies. It shifts into something deeper.
