Initially she  had a good morning and then PT came in and was working with her, got her up and walked her from the bed to just outside her room to the scale which is about 6-8 steps. Once on the scale she had an episode where her arms went rigid straight out in front of her , all color out of her face, eyes frozen and fixed open and she collapsed. They had ahold of her luckily and got her in a chair behind the scale. Her blood pressure dropped to 55/30 and she had some sort of arrhythmia as well that they captured during it all on the monitor. They did not attempt to walk again and got her back to bed. She has felt awful since that episode and in pain. The intensivist stated that her heart is still really sick, she is still very much in heart failure and due to the damage and weakness her heart has sustained it’s going to take an unknown amount of time for healing. He stated that she will not be getting out of the ICU  yet like they’d hoped. This episode shows she needs more time and a slower pace. PT will still be working with her but will focus more on sitting on the side of bed and dangling legs for a while , holding off on walking.
There is no clear path of recovery as of right now. They are just trying to see what her heart can do, what it will allow and are constantly adjusting her care plan accordingly.
Her labs are also showing early onset of pancreatitis as well as elevation in labs on some other organs. This can happen with a heart that was so inflamed/sick - it can affect other parts of the body, as well as the life saving medications that she has had to be on potentially affecting other organs. This is a known possibility so they have been watching her labs closely and did an ultrasound on all of her abdominal organs today.
Please continue to pray for answers to better prepare for future care. Pray for guidance for the doctors as they dive into looking into her episode today and for Brit, Louis and Hudson as this is taking a toll on them and exhaustion has hit hard. Physically, mentally and emotionally.

Thank you all❤️
