The Dearman Family
Hannah was just taken off her last IV heart medication. Her BP had dropped some but is still within stable range. The effects of coming off this medication won’t show for 4-6 hours so pray that her heart is strong enough to maintain her blood pressure within the safe range on its own! The goal is that if she can maintain without IV drips functioning for her heart and move to oral medications that she can break out of ICU and move out to a floor room!
Her last ECHO shows some improved function but she is still in heart failure with a weak left ventricle so pray for continuing improvement! They will do another ECHO in a couple days.
Please pray for continued strength and heart function improvement- as it will be a long road and will take at least a year for her heart to gain strength. We also want to rebuke the reoccurrence of Myocarditis as well as any potential of Cardiomyopathy(which is a risk if you’ve had Myocarditis).
Physical Therapy is working with Hannah to build strength and mobility. Hannah was able to walk from her room to the end of the nursing station desk which isn’t far but given what she just went through we will take it, she is struggling with weakness so please pray for strength in her body.
The nutritionist is working with her to try to eat and get protein/nutrients in her. Please speak an appetite and for food to stay down in Jesus Name. We know it takes nutrition to build strength so please speak a settled stomach and appetite over her!
There is a plan in the midst for the team to place a small implant/monitor just under the skin that will allow doctors to monitor her heartrate & the arrhythmias she has been having from anywhere- no matter where she is at. This will bring some peace to Brit @ Louis once home for sure, so pray that all goes well.
Thank you once again for continued prayers, support and all of the outpouring love! ❤️
