Greyson’s liver numbers and bilirubin have continued to climb today so they are starting him on steroids to try to treat GVHD.  They think his liver problems right now may be GVHD, as well as his loose stools which have picked back up. 

Tomorrow morning, probably around 10 or 11, he will have surgery to replace his port.  He has had this port since his first diagnosis in 2017 so it has finally given out. He will be intubated for this surgery.  They hope and expect him to be extubated before he wakes up but there is a risk that they would be unable to extubate right away. 

Greyson got to sit up with assistance again today.  This was the first time since he was extubated that he was able to do this.  He wanted to see his stuffed animals, piano and Jungle Book blanket.   What he wanted most to do was hug Mom so we were able to get a big hug during this time.  💚🧡🎗️
