They were able to continue weaning Greyson’s ventilator overnight. They are trying to wean how much support the ventilator is giving him so that he can start triggering his own breaths. So far, he is tolerating the weans.
The CT yesterday showed new spots in his lungs that they believe are a new infection. They are hoping the Karius test comes back in the next day or so and that it will help them know what they’re dealing with so they can best treat it.
The BMT team believes that his new rash and loose stools are GVHD and are going to start a medication today to help treat it. We should see some improvement in a few days. 💚🧡🎗️
