We are tentatively going to extubate today. It is the plan, though that could change and there is always a possibility of extubation failing and having to reintubate.
The foreign body in his lung has officially been labeled a calcification in a pulmonary vessel. The radiologist that reviewed his CT yesterday said that a very tiny version of it can be seen on the CT from February and he is not concerned, especially since it is not causing any obstructions.
He did start having loose stools again so they are holding his feeds.
Yesterday, he started a new level of mobility with the physical therapist and occupational therapist. They came by and assisted him to sit up and he tolerated it well! 💚🧡🎗️
