Greyson had a quiet night again. He did have some low blood pressures so they have started the medication to raise it again.
The MRI did not show any infection or inflammation which is good. They are running more tests to see if he is still positive for the virus they are concerned about, and will decide on treatment if he is. He was also positive for a new virus yesterday afternoon (so that’s two separate new viruses on top of the E. Coli and pneumonia in his lungs).
His chest x-ray today looked worse so they are increasing his airway clearance treatments to try to help get the stuff in his lungs to move so they can suction it out.
They are redrawing all of his cultures again to see if there are any new bacteria growing.
His bilirubin has doubled since yesterday so they are doing another ultrasound of his gallbladder to see if his gallstones are causing a blockage. They are also going to look at his lungs while they are doing the ultrasound.
His weight yesterday was accurate so they have started him on lasix again to try to help him get rid of extra fluid. There is discussion though on if his fluid is in places where it can be flushed out with lasix or if we have to get it there first.
His stools are still loose but they are going to try to add feeds at a very small, slow rate and see if he can tolerate them. They think the risk of his loose stool being GVHD is low at this point and they believe they can rule it out. 💚🧡🎗️
