Mike had an ok night! The nurses have been giving him Xanax to help him sleep and calm his nerves while being there. This has helped a lot. He has been getting more sleep and he needs it. Here are a few updates...
  • Yesterday's CT scan came back and showed that there is still a tiny leak that is still leaking urine. They called in the Urologist and he said that he is not very worried about it and he thinks it should fix itself. We are going to keep a close eye on it.
  • The doctors ordered an abdominal xray this morning. We are not sure why since the doctor hasn't been in yet today. So we will wait for him and the results of that.
  • They pulled the drain tube out that was growing yeast. He called it his grenade. It wasn't really removing anymore fluid anyways, so we got rid of it. One less tube sticking out of him.
  • The nurses got him up in the night and had him walk a bit. They did it again this morning. The more movement, the better!
  • Both of his lungs are about 1/4 inflated (in the picture: white part is inflated, black is not). We need to get him up and moving to help inflate these lungs. The lungs are the thing they are most worried about right now. Praise the Lord! We are worried about him catching a pneumonia. If he catches a pneumonia, it will not be good.
We have not gotten the results from this mornings lab work but we are hoping it is all good news. We are so blessed that this list of updates gets shorter and shorter. Thank you x1000 for all of the prayers and continued support.
