Hi Everyone. I had intended on updating last Monday night after my 1st post op appointment. I had spent a good amount of time typing up a detailed update and it disappeared before I could post it. Just user error, but I simply didn't have the capacity to retype it all at that time. So here we are a week later. Last week at my first post op appt it was discovered that i had been taking more acetaminophen than i was supposed to, in addition to Oxy. This was not user error, but misinformation form surgeons. In any case i was able to start eating again after abput 8 days of pure misery. I am a week into eating and drinking normally and feeling pretty good. My foot has a metal plate and 7 screws in it. I am expected to be walking in a boot by my birthday, the 3rd week of October and then in sneakers by early November. Tomorrow morning at 6 am i have the MRI on my tibial eminence fracture and torn acl on knee. I dont expect there to be anything that will need to be done to fix this because it has been healing for a month now while it has been kept with weight bearing on it as well as not moving it much. I know this because the pain has almost completely disappeared in my knee and it was incredibly painful after the fall and xray showing injuries. So please pray the MRI shows it healing and healing properly. Monday morning I have my 2nd post op appointment where they will remove the stitches in my foot. I will also get my blood checked again since my liver and WBC were off last week. I do have a boot but I'm not wearing it much as it just rubs on my stitches that are on the outer side of my foot/ankle area. Ouchy.
Thanks for checking in on me. I will post on Monday again.

is healing. I enjoy receiving your updates and think you're doing
great in your recovery after being so sick after your surgery.
I saw Sarah Money at church yesterday and she passed your
greeting on to me, and also said that you looked wonderful!
Please know that many are praying for you.
With love, Sheila
P.S. The flowers are so lovely, just like you.
