Hello 👋
I am happy to report that after not being able to keep anything down for an entire week, today was a day of just that.  Food.
This morning my Nosa yogurt was nourishing and settling to my stomach.   I ate the whole container, but very slowly.  After discoving I was going to keep it down and digest it without losing it, I waited on my recliner until my body told me to move again.  It wasn't long after that the move came and it was joyous!
I rested after that.
When i woke i was ravenous.   I ate a half a plain turkey sandwich with milk.  Delish!  Pure lunchbox lunch memories dancing in my head!
Dinner was an air fried grilled cheese which hit the spot.  More lactaid milk.  Finally,  i had a half a peanut butter sandwich and more milk as my second dinner.  Sound like a lot, but no food in 8 days is unlike anything I have ever imagined.   I am grateful i made it to today because i was really worried last week.  On Tuesday,  I had dreams of people who have passed on in my life. Important people, like grandmas, friends, ex beau, and even my dog, Princess, and although everyone was silent, I knew why they were there.  To watch over me.  Wednesday I went to ER instead of my post op because i didn't think i could go on anymore.   I had nothing in me.  Once they filled me with fluids and i got home and things started to get a little better, none of these people were in my dreams anymore.  My dreams very vivid and memorable but didn't make any sense anymore.
I have had 3 very strong conversations today, at length,  and have really felt my energy returning with each breath.  I still am not taking any pain meds or Tylenol or ibuprofen or anything except the aspirin to avoid bloodclots. Now that my tummy is feeling better, my foot pain is showing its ugly head.  But quite frankly at this point, bring it on and lets get that healing going!
I will report back aftet my appointment tomorrow with the surgeon. ( not my surgeon,  another one  🤣 😂 ) .
P.S.  We will have new health insurance on oct 1st so probably all new doctors as we wont be with Kaiser any longer.
