We are so grateful for every prayer, donation, share and act of kindness you've shown Tenekia: your family, our big sister, your friend and classmate. Because of you, she has been able to address some immediate needs while continuing to recover from her stroke.

YOU have stepped in and helped with groceries, gas, utilities, and other necessities. Some of these donations were given through cash, Spark, CashApp or Zelle. We are incredibly humbled and thankful for your generosity. Tenekia has used the majority of funds raised towards her rent. $1,200 was paid to her landlord with a balance of $3,225 that must still be paid to become current for September. $300 of the $362 remaining funds went to restore her hot water while the other $62 went to groceries and household essentials. Right now, she has a roof over her head and the basics. Housing remains her biggest and most urgent financial need. With no regular income coming in, the monthly expenses continue to add up as she works towards recovery.

Tenekia started physical therapy TODAY and she described it as intense. She's struggling with daily headaches, imbalance, and difficulty remembering things-hence the lack of pictures of her first therapy session. Lol. I'll be going back to Little Rock if I don't get any from her next session.

Tenekia is using a walker to get around and will have therapy sessions twice a week. She's working so hard in therapy because she's desperate to return to work as soon as possible. She knows bringing in an income will relieve the financial pressure she's under, but recovery takes time. Physically, she just can't go back to work. There is still a long road ahead of her.

Thank you for continuing to stand with Tenekia. Recovery takes time. Bills don't.
