Teddie’s Journey To A Cure
Day +38
I’ve been slow to update — we’re still waiting on one VERY important lab. It’s the most sensitive test to check for any lingering leukemia cells, and we’re praying with everything we have for a cancer-free report.
Teddie seems to be feeling good these days — happy, playful, and full of that spark we love so much. 💛 Please keep her in your prayers as we wait.
One update this week: we got her chimerism results — the test that tells us how much of her blood is being made by her donor’s cells. The results were encouraging:
✅ 100% donor in her myeloid cells (which make neutrophils, red cells, and platelets)
✅ 99% donor in her overall bone marrow
✅ 98% donor in her lymphoid cells (the part of the immune system that makes T- and B-cells)
These are strong numbers. Her team will keep monitoring, and if those last few percentages don’t reach 100% on their own, she may receive a small infusion of extra donor immune cells (called a DLI). It’s an in clinic procedure.
We need that pending lab to be clear! There are so many factors and so many tests but this one is the most in-depth.
🙏🏻Please pray she is still cancer free!
As always, thank you for standing with us — your love and prayers are such a comfort as we wait and hope.
