Bone marrow aspirate, spinal tap, and chimerism testing today — all to check how well her new cells are settling in.
Everything went smoothly. She was a little rageful waking up (early morning + empty stomach + anesthesia = disaster). Later when at home, she laughed and said, “Mama, we were real frustrated at the doctor. That was a little crazy.” 😅 Agreed.
We’re still waiting on the bone marrow and chimerism results — hopefully we’ll hear something later this week, but it could take a bit. In the meantime, we’re so grateful to share that her spinal fluid was clear — no cancer in her central nervous system. It’s been clear since diagnosis, but every confirmation is an answered prayer. 🙏
✨ Her GVHD is calming, and they started tapering her steroid dose. She’s still being protected by a med that helps prevent GVHD by suppressing her immune system just enough to avoid flares — but her levels were a bit low today. That can happen as kids grow, metabolize meds faster, or as other drugs shift. They’re adjusting her dose to keep things steady and safe.
Other than that, her labs are right where they should be and her body is steadily recovering.

▪️We got “okay” to bring the balance bike out– at dusk, of course!
▪️ Because we like to keep it comfy: matching Snuggies in July. No shame, just cozy vibes.
