Tammy's CLL/SLL Quality of Life
Hello friends and family,
Today my mom was able to achieve stability with her vitals and responses to the chemo treatments, granting her discharge from the ICU/CCU to the Oncology Department. Her new room is cozy, has a wonderful view, the sunshine is good for the soul and the staff has been very welcoming and friendly.
Tammy has her appetite and is able to enjoy the food the amazing kitchens are making for her. Chocolate cake and lemon bars have become a daily staple... something her parents would heartily approve of.
Thank you for your prayers and warm messages.
This is has been such a bizarre and surreal week for us, none of this was anticipated and the feeling of being shell shocked is still there. My mom is doing really well today. Wiped out from the tests and transferring floors but the spirit of Tammy is still as spunky, funny and loving as ever, her body is just in need of TLC.
We know we are loved by a wonderful God, one who moves mountains and parts seas. While there is a lot of emotions, fear is not present. And that can only be attributed to the goodness of the Lord. We wouldn't be able to navigate this new reality without His strength, courage, calm, and love.
I will continue to provide updates as to my mom's journey. Thank you for being a part of this with us, in whatever form that may be, we greatly appreciate you and pray that the Lord bless you and provide for you.
