Hello,
Thank you for your prayers, warm, encouraging words and donation blessings, my Mom and I appreciate you and are praying for you and your families.
After deep conversation and further research into my Mom's heart condition we made the choice to not move back to Prescott, the high elevation would be harmful to her heart after spending so much time at sea level here in soCal. We will be continuing her treatment and recovery in Scottsdale. Lower elevation, warmer climate (she did not want to be cold during this journey and I don't blame her!). We have a great Oncologist and Cardiologist ready for her arrival, still waiting on insurance, so please pray for that.
She's been doing good, energy levels can go up or down but it's all a learning curve. We're discovering what foods give her a boost and which ones don't leave an impact. Red meat is the fueler. You should have seen the energy spark after that homemade cheeseburger! :)
She's being mindful of getting up and walking albeit slowly and carefully. My Mom doesn't want to do anything that will put physical strain or stress on her body, which at this moment her heart simply can't handle.
She just finished the second round of antibiotics from Redlands - yay!
We snagged an Airbnb in Scottsdale for an entire month and will be making the 5 hr drive this coming Sunday (2 days).
There's quite a bit of relief of entering into the next chapter of this unexpected journey. It means answers, clarity and a clear vision of what to expect moving forward. But there's also apprehension and nerves.
If you could please pray for our thoughts, my Mom's heart and that we would continue to feel the loving, gentle hand of the Lord we would greatly appreciate it.
And pray for my Mom's grieving over the temporary separation from bacon... it's on the 'no' list for her heart.
