It's been a while since I've given an update on my progress. I am doing great! Although they tell me there is a 70% chance or reoccurrence in 2 years, I believe I am in the 30%. My treatments have gone so well and my body is healing well. A couple of the Doctors suggested I leave the port in my chest "in case it comes back" and it is needed again. I choose to believe it is not necessary and I had it removed on Tuesday. The area is of course sore and bruised, but it is one step closer to completing this journey. I'll still go every three months for 2 years and they will have to do blood work and CT scans with and without contrast, but they can use my veins instead of the port.
Several of my friends hosted a celebration party for me a couple of weeks ago. We had such a fun time and I felt and still feel very special and very loved.
Everyone has prayed for me, sent cards. letters, notes, texts, made phone calls and so much more. I continue to be thankful for all of you, and I know beyond a shadow of a doubt I could not go through this without each and every one of you.
From the bottom of my heart, I thank you all.
