I don’t have a long report, but is full of good things! Short and sweet, for once (quick, somebody knock on wood!).
Dad took a fall over the weekend; thankfully he is okay, but the orthopedic surgeon did want to see him today to double check that the fall didn’t damage anything. Sarah the PA declared that all is well, he’s still healing nicely, and he’s in the clear to keep scooting and one legged living!
Mom was moved from IV antibiotics to oral antibiotics yesterday, and after 24 hours of observation to make sure the oral antibiotics were working, she was discharged from the hospital earlier this evening! She is back at the group home and thrilled to have left her least favorite place behind. The hospital makes good mashed potatoes (I know - hospital food, but it’s true) and if you know my mother, you know why I was concerned that if she stayed any longer, she’d turn into a mashed potato.
We’re mostly staying on top of *waves hand* all the things, and I for one am grateful to not be the one holding all the things together, remembering that Colossians 1:17 says, “He is before all things and in Him, all things hold together.”
Best,
Bethany
