Good Progress today! July 12, 2026

The hospital has finally allowed my sister and I to visit in addition to our dad.  So, I was able to go visit Steve today.  It's so hard to see him like this, but I know he is healing.  The good news is that while the ventilator tube is still place, he is breathing on his own!  He was still very sedated, so I don't think he knew I was there.  He needs to be aware enough for them to take out the tube, but they think he is almost there.  Such a relief.

Once that happens and is completely off the ventilator, he will be transferred to another room where he will continue to heal.  He does have substantial injuries, and some we may not even know about yet.
