We were told by the oncology team that we would not have test results from today’s scans until tomorrow, at the earliest. We grudgingly accepted that and prepared for the stress of the wait. I finished up a conference with a kiddo and their parent to see two missed calls and when I called back…. WE HAD RESULTS!!!! Dr. Thompson called and is very pleased. The tumor is shrinking and the cancer has not metastasized anywhere else. This is AMAZING NEWS!!! This means we have found a chemo regimen that is working with Eva’s body to attack cells and that is what it is doing. It is ATTACKING THE CANCER!!! Is she completely clear, not yet, but this is a big step in the RIGHT direction and we could not have done it without the support and prayers of our #Evastrong community. Keep those prayers coming. The more the tumor shrinks the closer we get to getting a maintenance drug and prayerfully being done with cancer for the last time. JESUS IS THE GREAT PHYSICIAN!!!! Now, let’s get the rest of this tumor out of here and see both of those beautiful big blue eyes!!!
