Praise and Prayer

Eva was released to come home this evening. We pulled into the driveway around 9:00 this evening. Praising Jesus because Eva’s face looks sooo much better and extra praise that the tumor is not just stable…. IT IS STILL SHRINKING!!! 4.2 cm by 3.7 cm now from 4.2 cm by 4.2 cm last scan! This chemo is working and we are praising Jesus!
Now, for continued prayers. The bone around Eva’s eye has lost some of its integrity and the tumor is closing off a sinus. This infection is due to the fluid in the blocked sinus becoming infected, but without opening and draining the sinus (which is dangerously because of tumor location and being immunocompromised) there is not much to be done beyond extremely high powered antibiotics. Our prayers need to be focused on two things. The tumor needs to continue to shrink so that the sinus can drain and Eva needs to remain clear of infection, to continue the chemo that is shrinking the cancer. Written out it all seems so easy.
I won’t lie, these last two months have been extremely hard, but we know it is working. We know God is healing Eva. As we sat in the hallway last night surrounded by other cancer warriors during the tornado warning, a 16 year old young man met Eva shaking in the floor and told her to be calm because God is with her. GOD IS WITH US!!!!
Keep those prayers coming. We literally cannot do this without them. Also, add Kingsley to your prayers. He told is God is with us, then explained how during his battle he is beginning to know God, but hasn’t quite figured it out yet! I made him a hacky sack with a cross and delivered it today. I told him we would pray!
