On stormy nights, our house lives by the Doug heady app and the Arvest Go to Bed Circle. We had the all clear, just after ten, but knew that rain would continue. Eva is terrified of storms and rain. To help herself she puts in her AirPods. At 2:40 this morning, Eva woke up with terrible ear pains and said she had put her AirPods in and it hurt. We gave her a Tylenol and got some uneasy sleep. We were at Pittsburg ER a little after 8 this morning with the same ear pains. Sure enough, Eva has her first ear infection ever, from her dumb AirPods. Have I mentioned before that I HATE AirPods…. Anyways, the ear visit led to extremely low counts and a blood transfusion at Pittsburg Mercy hospital. Eva cried tears of joy because she didn’t had to go to Children’s Mercy. We were finally released a little after 5:40 and grabbed some dinner before heading home. Will brought us up some lunch from Mall Deli, but Eva didn’t drink enough and her temp keeps creeping up. We need prayer that these antibiotics kick the ear infection, that she does NOT spike a fever, and that we can get some much needed rest. Also pray that we can find a happy resolution between Eva “having” to have Apple headphones and “settling for a cheaper alternative. Keep those prayers coming!!! #Evastrong.
