Back to School

We have so much to be thankful for today! Eva was able to attend her first day of 8th grade and James drove her on his way to the first day of his sophomore year. This summer has been horrific. Between infections, blood clots, and changing chemo regimens we have been in and out of the hospital and Eva has lost so much energy. Her spunk would show up for a few minutes and then it would be gone. Today she was so ready for school! We agreed to let her try, but I worked from home, almost certain that she would call and need me to come get her. SHE MADE I THROUGH THE ENTIRE DAY AND CHEER PRACTICE!!!! We are so proud of her and so ready to watch her continue to grow and get stronger. As a nurse once said, “This is Eva’s world, we just get to live in it!” Our biggest concerns right now are her getting enough water to keep her bladder happy during the day, making sure she has constant access to a bathroom, and making sure she gets through the day without over exerting herself. We all know she is super good at that! 

Our prayer requests are simple… we need her scans to be good on the 31st of August and we need her to continue to thrive!!!
