Just before Spring Break our family shared a case of RSV, and Sophia ended up in the hospital for a few days. Normally this could be a time when I feel down, but this time God heaped so many blessings on us, and I could feel His care for us so strongly!

While Sophia was inpatient, her assigned doctor was the newly appointed Chief of Pediatrics at OU Children’s Hospital so we got to meet and talk with him, and felt so well cared for. Then when we were discharged, we stopped for a celebration lunch and a stranger paid for our meal! That same week I came across a pediatric stroller for big kids that was being given away for free, and was able to bring it home. We had been looking for a stroller that could go on rougher terrains like grass, dirt paths and play grounds and this was it! We saved at least 700 dollars by finding that stroller!

All of those things combined, on a week that should have been discouraging, made me feel so loved and cared for by God! He filled me with such a strong feeling of gratitude that I couldn’t help thinking of all the ways He has blessed us!

These can seem like small things in the grand scheme of things, but I think it’s a great example of God’s consistent care for us through the small details.
