Todd had his infusion Wednesday. They are such long days.
So far he is handling everything okay with this month's infusion.
However; the doctor called the Pulmonolgoist (as the nurse hadn't put in the referral) and he also ordered him a CT scan for his lungs and an MRI for his sinuses and his brain. They said they are mainly looking for secondary cancers because he keeps having troubles that shouldn't be there. He mentioned that they took the ClonoSEQ MRD back in January and that didn't come back exactly like they were hoping. He said they won't read into it too much until they get the results back from the next bone marrow biopsy in the next month or two when he does that.
In two weeks since his blood was taken last, certain markers they are looking at are still slowly creeping up. The fact that they are rising while on treatment, isn't a great thing. Those numbers are supposed to be going down on treatment. Getting as close to 0 as possible. Thankfully, they aren't rising in BIG amounts, but nonetheless, they are trending upwards.
In the meantime the prayers we need: (1) Clarity for us and the doctors to know how to move forward. (2) Peace in our hearts as there are a lot of different things happening. (3) For financial assistance for the medicine that costs $1800 every month.
How grateful I am for our Savior and for the peace that He gives us. What a beautiful season we are in with Easter just around the corner. We know that He knows what we are going through and has experienced everything we, and especially Todd, are feeling. We are not alone in this journey. We know without a doubt that He LIVES and loves us! <3
Happy Easter!
PS-There probablay won't be much more to update until we get the results back from the Bone Marrow Biopsy in a few months. (Not sure when Mayo will actually do the biopsy) In the meantime, we appreciate your love, support and especially your prayers!
