1 week since transplant!  Todd is doing well!  He has dealt with a lot of nausea and "other" not so pleasant things.  They have him on 3 anti-nausea medicines but it hasn't helped that much so today they gave him some liquids as well as some more anti-nausea medicine in his IV.  His numbers have tanked (which is normal) and so he is also on an antibiotic to prevent any infection at this point. We go to the hospital every single day.  Everyone has been great there and made this as pleasant as possible.

He still sleeps a lot. So much sleep, especially for him. But, it's good.  It allows his body to heal.  He is in great spirits and still smiling through it all.

They said the people who do the best are those who are walking consistently and drinking liquids.  Every night we try to go around the block, even if he doesn't feel like it, so he can stay strong.  He has to wear the mask outside to prevent Valley Fever since he has no immune system right now. He doesn't love that but he is obeying all the rules.

The NP told us today that Todd is like an iron man with how well he is doing.  He said his body is really resilient to everything so far and he is quite impressed with how well he has taken care of his body before and during this to be handling everything as well as he is.

Continued prayers for his recovery to keep going well and that his stem cells will graft.  How grateful we are for so many things.  Western medicine, natural medicine, prayers, family, friends, acts of service, great doctors and nurses, love and support, faith....so many beautiful blessings among the trials. Our hearts are full.
