Yesterday Sarah had her liver biopsy and today we received the results. It was a minimally invasive needle biopsy that confirmed what was already suspected; Sarah has cancer in her colon, liver, and lungs. 

On Monday we will meet with Sarah’s oncologist to find out the full diagnosis and prognosis. She will have her port placed on Monday afternoon and we are hopeful that she will be able to start chemotherapy next week. 

We continue to lean on our faith and prayer during this waiting period. We have seen the power of prayer in so many ways this week: significantly reduced pain, reduced nausea, fast-tracked biopsy and results, and now the start of a treatment plan. We are comforted by the Lord and know that He is carrying Sarah and the family through this storm. 

Today we are praying for increased physical comfort, quality sleep, a good prognosis, a strong medical team, and the rapid initiation of quality treatment.  

We are so grateful to everyone who is supporting Sarah. She has a mighty team helping her to fight this battle. Thank you for lifting her spirits, helping to nourish her and the family, and keeping her in your thoughts and prayers.
