Hoping that the blueprint is somewhat similar for the next 5 rounds of chemo now that I have a basic idea.
Day 3/4 I started having some of the side effects that a lot of people experience: fatigue, nausea, poor appetite, some effects from the steroids, and others I’ll spare the details on. The fatigue was real, but fortunately hasn’t lasted more than a few days in a meaningful way. The last week or so has been much better in terms of energy level and appetite, and I’ve been able to get out for some of the sunny Colorado days that feel more like spring than winter.
I haven’t lost my hair yet.. but I’m going to have some fun with it before I shave it all off, stay tuned for pictures.
I’ve been able to work a little, though I was a little too optimistic on having my normal full work weeks. An addended work schedule has provided some good normalcy and routine and it’s generally just been good to use that part of my brain and be around the positive supportive energy of my colleagues.
Next Game Day is in one week!
