I’m two days out from the first chemo treatment aka game day and feeling cautiously good. My body responded well with no adverse reactions, and energy level slightly depleted but felt good enough to get outside for a little bit on Wednesday and today. 

There are so many things that are pink in the breast cancer world. Pink gowns, pink caps, pink take home bags. Here’s a photo my friend took of me after the RN used pink Coban to cover my IV. Despite my slightly facetious tone in the picture, the overall setup at the center is a nice place to be: it’s a big open and bright room with plants and a good team of nurses. This is where I’ll go for all the chemo. 1 down, 5 to go!
