My first update

Thank you to everyone who has shared, followed along, and supported River’s journey. We can never thank those enough who have so graciously donated and helped get River to the therapies that have truly changed the quality of her life for the better. 

 

I will be posting updates on all of her therapies, progress, and the milestones she achieves along the way. One of the biggest reasons I hope people will continue to share River’s story is to help spread awareness about Aicardi syndrome and other rare diagnoses. The more people who learn about these conditions, the more families may find support, resources, and hope. 

 

One fun thing River has recently started doing is finding her voice! She has started saying “up” specifically when I go to get her out of her crib. It may seem like a small thing, but for River, it’s a huge milestone and another way she’s learning to communicate her wants and needs. 

 

We are so proud of her and all the hard work she puts in to gain every milestone she achieves. Nothing comes easy for our girl, which makes each new skill and accomplishment that much more special.
