Rader Family
Hello everyone,
Today concludes another week in our family's fight against childhood cancer. Believe it or not, I think I can say this past week was overall a good one. Madeline had long chemo days Monday through Friday which felt very daunting, but we did it! So far she is doing well. This weekend we got to attend an extended family dinner out, a cousin's birthday party, and spent today in Door County in the sunshine. We are all feeling rested and grateful for the time spent together as a family.
This week we will anticipate Madeline's blood counts to drop and her immune system to be down in response to last weeks chemotherapy. Please pray for health as we progress through the week. We would love to avoid having to be admitted to the hospital because of fevers or infection. We will have chemo again tomorrow, but are otherwise planning to lay low and go at Madeline's pace.
Thank you for praying always. Each week brings us a little closer to being able to close this chapter of our story. While we don't want to wish away time, I know we will be happy when this year is over and cancer is behind us. As always, we believe that God has a plan with all of this and is beside us on the really hard days and the really good days. We are choosing to trust His faithfulness and goodness even in the midst of our own chaos.
We love you all and will update you again later this week!
