Rader Family
Goodmorning,
We have been home since Monday night and it feels so good. Although we are still spending hours at the hospital each day this week for radiation/chemo/IV antibiotics it is refreshing to sleep in our own beds and start and end our days as a family. Today brings us to day 6/8 for radiation and I will certainly be glad to see the end of this. Being sedated every day is tough and feels heavy on our hearts as parents. Thankfully Madeline bounces back and we have done it enough now to have a good routine and make it as predictable for her as possible.
In the midst of hard days, the hospital has brought in some joy with a "spirit week" for 4th of July. It certainly gives Madeline something to look forward to when she goes into clinic every day. Yesterday was lemonade themed. She picked our a very cute lemonade outfit and had the privilege of serving lemonade to all of her doctors and nurses. It was charming.
We continue to power through this journey one day at a time. It has not been without tears, stress, and anxiety but we thank God daily for walking this with us. We know He's got this and He will get us through it even when it is hard. Please continue to pray for strength and resilience for our entire family.
Thank you for the ways you have all poured into our lives in so many different ways. We could not do this alone.
We love you always.
Molly
