Hi all!

Sarah here with an update as Rachel is set to receive her radioactive iodine (RAI) treatment tomorrow. She's nearly there!

The past few weeks have been tiring as she's been pausing taking her thyroid meds in preparation for RAI. She describes it as feeling like she's ran a long distance and her head is swimming.

Over the next week and a half she'll be quarantining at home after the RAI treatment. Thankfully she'll be able to start taking her thyroid meds again on Monday 🙌 and to resume normal activities soon 💕

I am so incredibly grateful for everyone who has offered a word of support or gifted financially to help cover expenses like meals, items to make recovery easier, and pet boarding while Rachel quarantines. It has really helped make things a lot easier during recovery.

As Rachel's big sister, (even though we're both adult women in our thirties!) all I want in times like this is for Rachel to know is that she's not alone, that she's going to be ok, and that she has people around her supporting her and cheering her on. I have been moved to tears the past few months seeing how many people make up Rachel's support team. Thank you all for being a part of this!

And thank you to Seb for loving my sister so well. Seeing how you've navigated this together has illuminated really beautiful parts of your relationship. I love you both so much❤️!

Wishing you all a safe and happy weekend.

With gratitude,
Sarah
