Final Prep for RAI—Almost There!

Hi all,
Just a quick note as we get closer to Radioactive Iodine (RAI) treatment over Memorial Day weekend. Right now, I’m in the home stretch of prep: my thyroid meds are paused and I’m on a low-iodine diet. Both of these are so that what's left of my thyroid cells will be really eager for radioactive iodine. I'll also have injections to help make the RAI more effective.
After RAI, I’ll be quarantining for a week and a half. Then I'll have a scan to make sure they got all the cancer. Assuming everything looks good, then it’s onward to fine-tuning meds and regular check-ins.

I’ll circle back after treatment, but for now, sending gratitude and hopes for a relaxing Memorial Day weekend!
