Hi all,
My appointments went great and I'm healing nicely. I'll do radioactive iodine (RAI) treatment Memorial Day weekend. In preparation, I'll need to be off thyroid meds, but not for as long as traditionally necessary. I'll quarantine from people and pets for a week after RAI. After that, we'll try to adjust my thyroid medication until it's a good dose for me and check for cancer markers every 6 months.
