Today we got discharged from Seattle Children's Hospital and oh boy are we happy to be home! On 7/6/2026 Scarlett got a Heimlich valve placed on her chest tube. X ray showed her lung staying stable that evening and the next morning. We have "tubey" (Heimlich Valve) her new accessory which is almost as long as her but she has been doing great with it. Not sure when it will get removed yet but she may have it for around 3 months.

We are grateful for your donations and will be using the money to help with medical bills and updating kitchen/cleaning supplies including getting an air purifier to help with reducing bacteria build up while she is going through her Chemo treatment. Our big item for Scarlett with these funds is placing some pour and place rubber playground surfacing in part of our backyard with a playhouse and swing for her. This will help as her T2 on her spine has compressed and collapsed due to her LCH eating away at the bone. Any major falls while she is healing could result in a serious spine injury and while she is going through her Chemo treatments having a place she can play without much bacteria is ideal. We are trying to balance her being a toddler while keeping her safe and healthy. Will upload pictures when this is all done.
