Oskar was discharged home from the ICU last night to continue care at home and outpatient treatments in Philly. Still a long road ahead of us but at least we can care for him at home in his happy place with his brother Guinness and neighbor friends and family. We will be providing 24 hour medical care at home and driving to Penn Vet through the next 2 weeks at least to finish his treatments and follow ups. The outpouring of support and outreach to check on him and us has been very helpful and reassuring. We practically own a wing of the vet hospital now. The staff were so sad to see Oskar leave yesterday but were all so happy to see him getting better. They all have pictures of him on their phones and he was the celebrity there. His neighboring dog was a Black Lab bomb sniffing dog and I’m sure they hit it off pretty well there too. We continue to pray and hope for the best outcome over the next week or two as he is going to heal better at home they think. Thank you again and we will keep you all updated on progress and plans.

Oskar is such a loving and fun dog to be with. We are so glad he will continue to be with us. He and brother Guinness are Kevin and Tracy's 2 kids in and are priceless. They can use some help with the huge hospital bills. Kevin has dedicated his life to serve others starting as a junior firefighter to his present position as Flight Nurse with Geisinger Lifeflight. Time to come to his aid!
